PORTLAND MERCURY on Two-piece fest has been celebrating musical duos since its 2008 beginnings in Philadelphia. This year, the organization expands to Portland with an all-ages show where two dollars of your ticket price goes to the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition. With performances from 16 different two-piece acts, I can't imagine a more fitting way to spend the last day of the second month of the year. I'm looking forward to sets from husband-and-wife budget punks Hey Lover, DIY garage rockers the Bugs, and sax-and-drum pair (-2)—pronounced "minus two." Don't have a plus one? That's fine, the only groups that are required to be duos are those onstage. |
